Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

TV Licensing Wimp Screams Assault

If anyone is wondering why TV Licensing can fill the newspapers with reams of bullshit about goon assaults being at an all time high, then this is the reason.

A new video has emerged showing a TV Licensing goon stood in the middle of someone's living room. We do not know the circumstances of how the goon ended up inside the property, but it is very obvious that his presence is not welcomed and he is asked to leave. It is likely that the goon took it upon himself to walk through the open door when the occupier briefly turned his back to fetch a camera.

From the dialogue, which is all very convivial and not at all threatening, it is clear that the occupier attempted to usher the goon back outside the property. As the goon left the property he could be heard saying "that's assault", presumably in response to the occupier guiding him out. The occupier followed the goon outside to his vehicle, which was a black BMW 320d, registration number UUI 8293. The goon could be seen using a mobile phone inside the vehicle and he briefly opened the door to say he was phoning the police.

The video does not show the degree of contact, if any, between the goon and the occupier, but there is no evidence whatsoever of any assault taking place. At the absolute outside, the occupier may have used an open palm on the goon's back to guide him towards the door in the same way you might guide a toddler away from the sweeties in Asda. No reasonable person could ever consider such actions as an assault, particularly when the goon has already entered a person's home uninvited.

Remember that by far the safest option is to ignore TV Licensing goons completely. TV Licensing is an inherently dishonest organisation that cannot be trusted. A legally-licence-free person has no business whatsoever with TV Licensing and does not need to assist them in any way, shape or form.

Keep the door firmly closed and keep TV Licensing scum out.

I'm certain that a "heightened defence" applies to homeowners/tenants that first ask a trespasser to leave, should the trespasser refuse or the homeowner/tenant be afraid for their (or another's) safety they are entitled to use "reasonable and proportionate force" to remove the trespasser from their home (but not the driveway as this is outside the home). This is very similar to the law around self defence.

My biggest advice for dealing with these people is: "know your rights". If you don't watch or record live T.V or radio or use services such as BBC iplayer in your own home. Then you do not need a T.V license AT ALL. I recently had one of these guys tell me that I had to have a license "by law" simply because my computer monitor was capable of receiving a live T.V signal. When I showed him that neither my Computer or monitor had a T.V Tuner card installed he replied by saying "Watch out, we're changing the law to deal with people like you". They visit me every few months and most are decent people trying to do a difficult job, others are complete scumbags. If you know your rights you don't have to worry about either one.

The old saying " an Englishmans home is his castle " still rings true.
There is a limited category of people, who, in certain circumstances can enter your house without your permission, obvious one is the police if they are wanting to arrest someone, or the gas board if they suspect your house is the source of a leak, basically a life and limb situation.
TV licencing goons aren`t even on the list

No licence needed to listen to the radio - the radio licence was abolished in 1971. Likewise no licence needed to access Radio iPlayer, which is a different service from TV iPlayer.

This clown could always go back to his Islamic hellhole of a country if he doesn't like our laws.
