Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

BBC Pervert Travis Loses Indecent Assault Appeal

Dave Lee Travis has failed in a bid to overturn his indecent assault conviction.

The former BBC Radio 1 DJ was convicted last year of indecently assaulting a young researcher behind the scenes of the Mrs Merton Show in 1995.

Following his conviction the veteran presenter, dubbed the hairy cornflake, said he was "mortified" and "really disappointed" that the jury sided with his victim's version of events.

The researcher, who is now a television personality in her own right, had described how Travis, real name David Patrick Griffin, squeezed her breasts as she stood in a corridor at the Granada Studios in Manchester.

Travis appeared briefly at the Court of Appeal in central London earlier today.

It didn't take too long for the presiding judge, Lady Justice Hallett, to dismiss the appeal with the words: "We are driven to the conclusion that there are no arguable grounds of appeal and accordingly the application for leave to appeal must be refused."

Speaking after the hearing, Travis said: "Obviously I am really, really disappointed - which is probably the understatement of the year."

Guess that rules him out of presenting the new version of Top Of The Pops!

With DLT still being found guilty, I don't understand how the mainstream media doesn't publish [Redacted]'s name as the victim in question. Surely accuser should also be made public just like the accused?

Never heard of her.
The law, rightly or wrongly, prevents the naming of the victims of sex crimes.

But her name is all over the internet and has even been mentioned in a few big name newspapers as well.

Like I said, it's the first time I've heard of her.

Why should the victim be named? Victims of crime suffer enough from the original attack - why should they have to suffer weird comments from trolls and the like as well?
