Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

TV Sports Presenter Arrested Over Child Sex Allegations

A well-known television sports presenter has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.

The allegations are said to be historic in nature, against a female child who was under the age of ten at the time.

The presenter was working in television at the time of the allegations.

According to an exclusive in The Sun, the married man's home was subject to an early morning raid by police a few days ago.

The police turned over the property, seizing documents and electronic devices for further examination.

A neighbour of the man is reported as saying: "The police turned up very early."They took him away and were there for a while carrying out a search.

"Everyone is shocked at his arrest.”

The man was held in custody for eighteen hours, before being released on bail."

It is understood that the police have informed his employer, but his work colleagues are unaware of the allegation.

It should be noted that for all this man has been arrested, that is no indication that he will be charged with any offences.

However, it does at least indicate that the police think he has questions to answer.

The Sun has not directly identifed the area where the man lives, or the television channels to which he is connected.

However, it is noted that today's article is tagged with the labels "BBC" and "Channel 4", which may or may not be of relevance.

Based on previous similar stories, it is very likely his name will enter the public arena in the coming days.
