TV Licensing Letters: Dishonest, Misleading, Unfair, Unjust

BlackBeltBarrister has described TV Licensing's persistence in sending "final, final warnings" as being dishonest, misleading, unfair and unjust.

In the view of Daniel ShenSmith, a barrister of England and Wales, TV Licensing's repeated sabre-rattling could constitute harassment.

Speaking in his latest video, the learned Mr ShenSmith said: "If they (TV Licensing) continued to make these threats about coming to visit you, investigate you et cetera, and never actually followed through on it, that might well amount to harassment.

"There have been cases gone to court where lawyers have threatened individuals with court action - they've even on occasion said that they've taken steps for court action when in fact they didn't - and they've been found liable to harassment."
