News today that yet another variant of scam TV Licensing email is doing the rounds.
These emails try to extract personal information from TV Licensing customers, which can then be used for criminal purposes such as stealing money from their bank accounts.
Please see our earlier articles for some top tips on how to recognise bogus TV Licensing emails:
There are a lot of these scam emails out there, so please be wary of any email purportedly from TV Licensing.
Even more so than genuine TV Licensing emails, these scam emails try to pressurise unsuspecting recipients into acting quickly and without thought.
The scammers know that stressed recipients will be more susceptible to providing personal information.
If you are in any doubt at all about the authenticity of a TV Licensing email, then please contact them directly using the details on the official TV Licensing website.
Never act in haste. Always pause for thought. Read the text carefully and seek a second opinion if there is any doubt whatsoever.
