The BBC has set itself tough diversity targets for leading on-air roles by 2020.
Within the next four years the Corporation has pledged that half its 21,000 workforce would be female; 15% would come from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds; and 8% would be from lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender backgrounds.
The BBC said by 2020 it would have a workforce that was "at least as diverse or more diverse than any in the industry” and “on-screen targets that cover a much wider range of diversity than any in the industry".
This might sound old-fashioned, but I really believe in recruiting the best person for the job based on their abilities, not their gender, skin colour, disability or sexuality.

Have we got the figures as a percentage of paedophile employees we can expect to see employed by the BBC in the next four years?
I suppose we can expect to see this rise if sexual preference is an important factor when recruiting new staff at the BBC.
