Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

If you've just arrived here from a search engine, then you might find our Quick Guide helpful.

Don't Let TV Licensing Spoil Your Mother's Day

Today, the fourth Sunday of Lent, is traditionally the time of year when people give thanks for all the marvellous things their mothers do throughout the year.

In common with every other Sunday, it's a day when law-abiding mothers across the land should be able to sit comfortably in their homes without the peace being shattered by some commission-hungry TV Licensing knuckle-dragger.

TV Licensing like mothers, particularly those stay-at-home mums aged between 18 and 30. A quick glance at the weekly TV Licensing court listings confirms that this demographic represents a significant proportion of all prosecutions for TV licence evasion.

Unlike their rapist former colleague Gary Catterick, most TV Licensing goons don't deliberately target mums for special attention. It is just an unfortunate coincidence that mums, particularly those with young children, are more likely to be at home when a TV Licensing goon calls.

As we have previously alluded, TV Licensing has employed some pretty shady characters in the past. Our observations would suggest that Capita - the TV Licensing contractor responsible for meting out doorstep harassment - has very low recruitment standards.

That being the case we would strongly discourage anyone from engaging with a TV Licensing goon that visits their property. Of course, with an alarming number of TV Licensing goons denying their association with the errant organisation, recognising them can often be a challenge in its own right. In theory TV Licensing goons are meant to show an ID card on request, but in practise we know some of them point blank refuse to.

Anyone who doesn't legally need a TV licence, has no business whatsoever with TV Licensing. They are under no legal obligation at all to provide TV Licensing with information or assistance and doing so would undoubtedly be a wasted effort.

Keep the door firmly closed and keep the scum from TV Licensing firmly in the cold.

We wish all mums a very happy Mother's Day.
