A TV Licensing goon has been caught on camera apparently impersonating a postman.
The young goon, who sports a flamboyant array of tattoos and piercings, was seen filling in a "We Said We'd Call" card, which he attempted to hand over to the occupier.
The occupier, who the goon had wrongly identified as a Mr Phillips, refused to accept the card and placed it down on the ground. The goon falsely stated: "You need it, because it's the law. You've just littered on the floor there mate".
The occupier repeated that he didn't want the card, to which the flat cap wearing goon dishonestly replied: "It's the law. I have to take a statement from you".
Of course there is no such law, as the goon undoubtedly knew. What there is is a goon trying desperately hard to sound authoritarian and collect evidence of an offence that doesn't exist.
A TV licence is only needed for those properties where equipment is installed or used to receive TV programmes.
Anyone who does not require a TV licence, like the occupier in this latest video, is under no legal obligation to communicate or co-operate with TV Licensing and we'd strongly discourage them from doing so.
Communicating with an organisation as ignorant and incompetent as TV Licensing is totally futile, because it does not believe anyone claiming not to need a TV licence.
TV Licensing cannot be trusted - say nothing and close the door.
