Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

If you've just arrived here from a search engine, then you might find our Quick Guide helpful.

Know Your Enemy: BBC Appoints New Regional PR Harlots for North of England

The BBC has just announced the latest purveyor of TV Licensing half-truths and propaganda.

The announcement, published by the BBC Press Office, reads as follows:

"The BBC has appointed Finn Communications, subject to contract, to provide TV Licensing public relations locally in the north of England.

"The agency will deliver a strategic programme of TV Licensing public relations under the direction of the BBC, via the media, stakeholders and social media at a specialist, regional level.

"The contract will commence in April 2014 and run for a maximum term of four years.

"Last year, the BBC ran a procurement process to appoint agencies across the UK in six geographical areas. Five agencies were appointed to cover London and the South East, Wales and the South West, the Midlands, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It was not possible to appoint in the north of England and so this element of the procurement was re-run to complete the network.

"Sian Healey, TV Licensing Head of Policy and Communications, says: “This procurement has enabled us to recruit the best PR agency to complete our network of agencies UK-wide, whilst delivering excellent value for money for licence fee payers. Finn will have an important part to play in our work to communicate to the public when they need a licence, and our extensive stakeholder campaign working with a wide range of organisations, including those specialising in money advice."

We're looking forward to countering the bullshit that Finn will inevitably now spin on behalf of the BBC.

Comiserations, Finn Communications. You will learn to drink deep from the poisoned chalice that is TV Licensing PR.

We suspect that you are going to need the "Crisis Management" section from your website on a regular basis from now on.

Surprise surprise, link and page removed already. Can't imagine what people would have been saying about TVL/BBC/crapita.......
Finn will soon learn the price of it's pieces of silver, that the stench of TVL BS sticks and doesn't wash away easily.
