Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

If you've just arrived here from a search engine, then you might find our Quick Guide helpful.

TV Licensing Man Threatens Warrant

The TV Licensing Visiting Officer Procedures clearly states they should NEVER threaten the occupier of an unlicensed property with a search warrant when the going gets tough.

We would advise the muppet in this video to read that document closely, as he's obviously missed that lesson at TV Licensing Goon Skool.

It's cold, dark and wet when this "Official from TV Licensing" presents himself on the doorstep. It's the sort of weather TV Licensing pond life truly thrive on, because it enhances their intimidation value on the vulnerable and legally unaware.

True to form the arrogant miscreant, infringing uninvited on someone else's property, gets shirty at the idea of being filmed. The occupier, absolutely correctly, reminds TV Licensing man that he is perfectly within his rights to film. TV Licensing employees are actually told to leave as soon as they see a camera, but he obviously missed that lesson too.

Evidently peed off that the occupier knows more about his negligible legal powers than he does TV Licensing man decides to crawl back under his rock.

The entire episode is captured in the YouTube video below:

Remember that not owning a TV licence is not an offence. If you are legitimately TV-free you are under no obligation at all to communicate or co-operate with TV Licensing. You do not need to respond to their letters or entertain their scummy doorstep operatives.
