Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

If you've just arrived here from a search engine, then you might find our Quick Guide helpful.

Free Online TV Streaming

"BBC online streaming" is one of the top search terms bringing visitors to this blog.

As the BBC haven't made massive inroads on the live online streaming front, I thought I'd bring you details of a brilliant alternative service.

One of the best services I have found for online streaming is TVCatchup.

TVCatchup is a free service that allows you to watch live streaming of more than 20 popular Freeview channels including all the BBC and ITV offerings.

Watching online is a popular option, not least because it virtually eliminates all chances of TV Licensing catching a licence evader in the act. It also means you can easily view TV anywhere with a broadband connection.

Re: TV Catchup https://www.tvcatchup.com/

Firefox states:
"Web sites prove their identity via certificates, which are valid for a set time period. The certificate for www.tvcatchup.com expired on 15/05/2019.
Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE"

Edge states:
"The website’s security certificate is not yet valid or has expired.
Error Code: DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_DATE_INVALID"

Chrome states:
"Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.tvcatchup.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).
NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID
This server could not prove that it is www.tvcatchup.com; its security certificate expired 206 days ago."

I'd guess this site isn't safe.
