How Bizarre: Blind BBC Journalist Sacked for Watching Porn

In a bizarre turn of events, a blind BBC journalist has been sacked after being caught watching porn in a busy newsroom.

According to The Sun, Neil Prior, 41, was caught with the x-rated videos earlier this month.

He was ordered to hand over his laptop by bosses at BBC Wales in Swansea, where he had worked for almost 20 years.

A colleague said: "No one can understand why he was downloading porn.

"I've known him for a few years and he's completely blind

"Maybe he was listening to the soundtrack. I just don't know why else he'd be accessing the stuff. It's a shame, he’s a lovely bloke and a talented journalist."

Another BBC insider said: "Everyone has a lot of admiration for Neil, he's a talented lad who has worked in news and sport. He left under a bit of a cloud. There was no leaving do or anything."

Prior has written on BBC Online about his difficulties working with computers and phones.

A BBC spokeswoman said: "We don't comment on staffing matters."
