Shamelessly Targeting Students

Unlike TV Licensing proper we have enough balls to admit that we're actively hunting down students.

Students: Please download our latest creation, share it with your friends, tweet the link to your Students' Union and generally spread the word that a TV licence is not obligatory, despite TV Licensing's continual harassment of you and your peers.

We've also designed an information leaflet about laptop/tablet usage, as there is often confusion about when a TV licence is required to watch on portable equipment.

Let the good fight continue.

Excellent work, TV Licensing Blog. Making clear what the BBC and their TV Licensing trademark fail to make clear. You're correct about this, "as there there is often confusion about when a TV licence is required". Questions have to be asked about why this is the case when the BBC have huge resources to devote to clearing up this "confusion".

Perhaps it would be too cynical to suggest that where there is "confusion" there is money to be made out of it. However, it's the BBC so perhaps people shouldn't be surprised.
