The Sheffield Star reports that a bogus TV Licensing "official" is prowling the streets of the city.
The male fraudster cold calls on the elderly and infirm demanding to see their television licence. He has successfully gained access to several properties, although the paper fails to mention if anything was stolen.
We recommend that you are always suspicious of anyone claiming to be from TV Licensing. Even if they are the genuine article it's almost certain they'll try and fleece or intimidate you.
Simply say nothing and close the door on them.
