Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

If you've just arrived here from a search engine, then you might find our Quick Guide helpful.

TV Licensing Freephone Number

TV Licensing Freephone

A short post today, made entirely in response to a recent spate of questions about contacting TV Licensing by telephone.

TV Licensing does not have a freephone number.

TV Licensing's can be contacted on 0300 790 6131, which is charged at the local rate.

Please note that the TV Licensing call centre is only open 0830 - 1800 hrs (Monday to Friday) and 0830 - 1300 hrs (Saturday).

Anyone who calls outside those times will still have to endure several minutes of listening to an automated message, which they'll have to pay for, before being asked to call back when the call centre is open. You have been warned!

With so much information freely available on the web why would anyone want to waste their time by speaking to TV Licensing anyway? Anyone seeking the human side of TV Licensing will be sorely disappointed!
