Why we're here:
This blog is to highlight the unjust persecution of legitimate non-TV users at the hands of TV Licensing. These people do not require a licence and are entitled to live without the unnecessary stress and inconvenience caused by TV Licensing's correspondence and employees.

If you use equipment to receive live broadcast TV programmes, or to watch or download BBC on-demand programmes via the iPlayer, then the law requires you to have a TV licence and we encourage you to buy one.

If you've just arrived here from a search engine, then you might find our Quick Guide helpful.

TV Licensing Blog on Facebook

Unaccustomed as we are to self-promotion, we thought we'd take the opportunity to highlight the existence of the TV Licensing Blog Facebook page.

As a lot of you are aware, we have been very active Twitter users for several years now. Twitter is very useful for spreading short snippets of information rapidly, but it's not a medium for the distribution of lengthy diatribes about the BBC or TV Licensing. Facebook is far better suited to that purpose.

As well as using Facebook as an alternative way of sharing our blog articles we are going to try, as best as possible, to post some content exclusively to Facebook. An example of this is the TV Licensing detector van crash footage, which we have just shared on Facebook but will not be posting directly on our blog.

If you like what we do here at the TV Licensing Blog, please consider liking us on Facebook as well.

We thank all our loyal readers for their continued support and the valuable contributions they make to our blog. If current media reports are anything to go by, the tide really is turning on the BBC's despicable TV Licensing operation.

Posting material exclusively on Facebook is a mistake.

Why's that then?

Simple. You've excluded everyone who doesn't use Facebook. Not perhaps the best way to spread a message?

Furthermore, Recent articles in the press indicate that facebook is now LESS popular amongst the young than previously.

keep up the good work. people need to be educated about these goons. personally I pay a license but I am opposed to how it is enforced and how my hard earned money is spent. namely on fatcat managers, bosses and 'talent'! what is the bbc trust committee doing for us??

FaceBork is a bad move many of us won't touch it with a bargepole, They slurp up user data, and claim ownership of your intellectual property to sell on, they are worse than Google.

Thanks for your comments.

It appears Facebook isn't as popular as we thought.

As long as people don't have to log into Facebook to read your posts, that's fine (this story did not ask for a login). I don't use Facebook and won't touch it, so if a login was required then people not using it would be cut off from the content.

Incidentally this is ultimately your blog and you can of course do whatever you feel is best. Either way I (and I'm sure others) thankyou for your ongoing work in bring TVL abuses into the public eye. Much appreciated.

You're very welcome Chris.

We've been doing this for a long time now and it really is something we feel passionately about. TV Licensing persecute innocent people in their own homes - that's a wrong that needs to be righted.

It looks like we're edging in that direction.
